Grandma's Noodle Casserole

Ingredients Instructions

  • 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 24 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 8 ounces package noodles
  • 8 ounces light cream cheese (neufchatel cheese), softened
  • 1 cup lowfat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup light sour cream
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, chopped

  1. Brown meat.
  2. Drain off fat.
  3. Add salt, tomato sauce.
  4. Cook noodles in boiling water.
  5. Combine cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, green onions, bell pepper
  6. {'Layer in casserole dish': 'half of noodles, cheese mixture, rest of noodles, meat.'}
  7. Bake at 325 for 30-40 minutes.
