Sauce

3 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons flour

1/2 onion, minced

3 cups milk

1/4 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon thyme

1 bay leaf

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon grated nutmeg

Sauce

In sauce pan, saute oil, flour, and onions

Add milk slowly, stirring continuously

Add spices
-
Cook and stir until it starts to thicken

Casserole

sauce (from above)

1 pound mostaccioli or penne noodles
-
4 ounces parmesan cheese, grated
-
3/4 pound fontina cheese, grated

1 cup bread crumbs

Casserole

Oven: 350
-
Cook noodles in boiling water (10 minutes)

Drain noodles
-
Mix noodles, sauce, and cheese
-
Put mixture in casserole dish
-
Bake for 30 minutes.
